Read a service history as a sequence
A folder of receipts can look reassuring without telling a coherent story. Read it as a sequence of recorded work. The purpose is to identify what is documented, not to assume that a thick folder proves complete care.
Check that records relate to the vehicle being viewed. Ask about inconsistent identifiers rather than overlooking them.
A plausible-looking document is not enough if it belongs to a different vehicle.
